My programming arsenal

javapythonF#C#PHPBashHTMLJSetc.
  • Worked with many languages in multiple environments
  • I Enjoy learning and improve my skillset
  • Good at working in a very structured manner

I'm sitting on top of a lot of knowledge, and I'm still looking for ways to learn more.

One of my stronger skills is being able to plan out every step that is needed to solve a problem, and see the entire picture when working in a system.

My motivation

I truly enjoy programming, and my motivation comes from being the best at what I do.

I still have a few known areas where I need to improve, but I'm getting there.

Learning from others is also a big reason why I enjoy working in a team.

The field of Software engineering

I consider myself a highly experienced and knowledgeable person.

This confidence comes from

  • Testing out different patterns and principles in theory and in production and understanding their pros and cons
  • Working in large systems
  • Researching vigorously into what it means to write "good" code
  • a good eye for planning and prioritizing

The biggest excitement I have had in this field is when I learn something that changes my beliefs and ideas about software.

Integrity

Quitting my job to improve

Many people warned me about having "a hole in my CV", but I didn't worry about that.

Would they have said the same thing if i went back to school to study?

If improving yourself and your skills is what matters, then staying at my job or jumping straight into a new job would not be the right choice.

Why quit ?

My motivation for quitting my job was to:

  • reset my brain and hopefully get a new perspectives
  • Learn more about the art of software engineering

I have definitely succeeded at my goal, and I'm glad i let my brain take a break from monotone work. Hopefully I even forgot some wisdom which later can be reclaimed from a new perspective.

I truly enjoy programming

Which means I am the happiest programmer in this picture

I am quite Methodical

LeanAgileetc.

I've spent many years reading and testing out different approaches on solving tasks both in a professional setting and privately.

My daily life is heavily influenced by the philosophy and methods of these principles.

Todo notes

I have also experimented with using both pen and paper and apps to keep track of everything, and from my experience it's best to use both in a combination.

text

I am probably the most organized person you have met.

I rely on many techniques to not get lost in all the little things that needs to be done at work or in life.

Read about how I manage all my tasks

My good traits

  • Very accurate and high precision in my work
  • Good at seeing the bigger picture
  • Good at planning all the steps that are needed to achieve something
  • Extremely organized

My bad traits

These are NOT my way of turning my weaknesses into my strengths. These are the most unhealthy habit I have, and every day I have to be very mindful of them.

An insane focus

Being focused for hours is a bad thing. I use a tool called Cold Turkey to make it eaiser for me to keep track of time and take breaks and set limits.

I have high expectations of myself

I am really jealous of my friend who is contempt in life. For me, every day is a day to improve.

I am working on being more relaxed in this area of life.

One way I want to achieve this inner peace is by becoming a true philosopher.

WOW, Hvorfor ansette meg?

I live and die by the engineering principles.

Also I am the coolest person in the world.
